Vicissitude: The Land, 2022

This work is made after Ground Vision and Vicissitude: The Ground, which was about the effect of “ground-scapes”, images of the ground, such as of old chewing gum on the ground (e.g. Vicissitude:The Ground), on my aesthetic sense. In Vicissitude : The Land, I found the “ground-scapes”, prints of mosses, from rocks in mountain Agusta in West Virginia. I was quite surprised to see how visually similar those natural moss prints on rocks and spat out chewing gums on streets were. I then thought about how we humans sometimes play the God.Therefore I made this work digitally manipulated just like Vicissitude: The Ground.
